Handcrafted from a single piece of richly grained antique ash, a lighter-weight hardwood similar to oak known for its strength (used for baseball bats and hockey sticks), salvaged from a 100-year-old historic home, this large rustic platter was inspired by the culinary pleasures of wine country. It provides ample space for tabletop or sideboard presentation and serving of bread, cheeses, fruit, vegetables, hors d'oeuvres and snacks, while doubling as a cutting board in the kitchen. Imperfections, including dents, uneven wear and nail holes, show its history and character. Thoughtful elevated skid feet make it easy to set in place and pick up.
